What to bring to Pfirecracker Pfestival
What to bring: A lawn chair or blanket for setting your fireworks view area. A bag to pack up your trash with you when you go. (Thank you for keeping our Lake Pflugerville clean!)  Patience as it does take a while to get everyone out of the lake safely and back home!  Sunblock, bottled water and plastic bottles and cans. Bring cash to purchase snacks from our vendors or use the onsite ATM.

What not to bring: Please leave the family pet at home. Pfireworks are frightening for animals and may affect behavior. Please secure your pet indoors so it doesn't escape during firework shows. No charcoal grills, propane only. No glass items. No personal fireworks. They are not allowed in or within 5000 ft of the city limits. Fireworks ordinance.

Please don't bring your car. There is no onsite parking at Lake Pflugerville. The city conveniently shuttles guests to the lake starting at 3 p.m. from Hendrickson High School. NEW in 2015, shuttles only run from Hendrickson High School, so hop on any bus to be taken to the event. After the fireworks show buses will load continually until everyone has left the lake at 11:30 p.m. Visit for more information.

July is Smart Irrigation Month; be water smart!
smart water monthJuly is Smart Irrigation month. Watering early in the day, before 10 a.m. and after 7 p.m., is a requirement in the city's stage 2 water restrictions and is a part of smart irrigation. You may save money by avoiding water loss due to heat and wind. Watering at these hours also improves soil absorption of the water.

Be sure to check your automatic watering or sprinkler systems for any leaks. If you water overnight, you might never see your sprinkler actually running. Be sure to test each zone and make sure that the heads are aimed where you intended. The city offers sprinkler system checks to water customers. Call 512-990-6400 to schedule a sprinkler system check.
