Road closed temporarily for turn lane construction at the Central Commerce Dr. and Picadilly Dr. Intersection
picadillyStarting Monday, November 23, the city will close the north portion of Central Commerce Drive at Picadilly Dr. to begin construction of a new turn lane at the intersection.  The closure will allow for an accelerated project schedule for construction; and the portion of Central Commerce Drive will be closed for approximately one month. Picadilly Drive will remain open throughout the construction.

“The road closure helps decrease the time that the project will be under construction, taking a third of the amount of time it would take if the road were to remain open,” engineer Patricia Davis said. “This project provides for safety improvements as well as reconstruction of the damaged roadway, inlets and curbs. The new turn lane will help minimize future damage to the roadway and a new alignment at Central Commerce will increase the intersection’s efficiency.”

Detour signage will direct traffic around the road closure.

For more information on the project, please email projects@pflugervilletx.gov or call 512-990-6400.

Winter wastewater averaging underway: For residential customers on the City’s retail water and wastewater service, the city bases monthly wastewater charges on your water consumption for November, December, January and February.  The city takes the three lowest consumptions, averages them, and uses that average to set your wastewater charge for the entire year.  An account must be active the entire four months to establish an average. All other accounts will be charged the city-wide average.

If you have a water leak during this time period, making your water consumption noticeably higher than usual, you need to notify the Utility Billing Office.  A copy of the plumbing bill or receipts from the purchase of plumbing supplies will be required no later than May 1. Upon consideration, your wastewater average may be adjusted appropriately.  Commercial wastewater charges are based on actual monthly water consumption. 512-990-6100.
