Winter Weather and temperatures remind us about people, pets, plants and pipes
Each January the temperature begins to drop. Please remember people, pets, pipes and plants. For people, check on loved ones to make sure that heating systems are on. Consider bringing pets indoors and/or providing additional warmth to pet shelters. If it's too cold outside for you, it's also too cold for your pets. Allow pipes to drip when necessary and wrap outdoor faucets. Bring portable plants indoors and consider shielding outside shrubbery from precipitation.

When winter weather arrives area roadways, especially bridges, may be slick or hazardous. Slow down and allow extra time to reach your destination. If roads become icy, be prepared to adjust your travel.
