Lake Pflugerville lowered for maintenance
Lake Pflugerville water levels are down about 10 feet for maintenance on the river intake pumps. At this time, the city is adding additional water to the lake at a rate of 5.5-6.0 million gallons/day in efforts to maintain the water level.

The city will harvest the algae and hydrilla beginning the week of October 10. A second pump will be available at that time to begin refilling the lake. The city anticipates having the lake full by the middle of November to early December.

"We appreciate the patience from all our citizens who use the lake for recreational purposes and will be continuing to monitor the situation until it's returned to its normal state," public works director James Wills said.

If anyone has concerns or questions, please call public works at 512-990-6400.
