  1. Creative Art Society (CAS) Show at the Library

    July 20 - September 25

    The Creative Arts Society is pleased to present a new art show hosted by the Pflugerville Public Library. The theme for the show is ‘Travel’ and consists of over eighty works of art by nineteen area artists. Each work depicts the artists’ experiences and travels; from India to France to Scotland to Tanzania and from the mountains of Colorado to the beaches of Hawaii. The media used by the artists include oils, acrylics, photographs and collage. The show is open during library hours through September 25, 2015 The Creative Arts Society (CAS) is an Austin based 501c3 not-for-profit arts organization. Their membership includes artists from throughout the Central Texas area and is open to anyone and everyone with an interest in furthering the arts. (http://creativeartssociety.org/)

When Hassan's family is forced to move from their native India, his Papa (Om Puri) relocates to a peaceful hamlet in Saint-Antonin-Noble-Val in the south of France. Determined to give his new neighbors a little taste of home, Papa decides to open an Indian restaurant in the village, and names it Maison Mumbai. Meanwhile, across the street at the traditional French restaurant Le Saule Pleureu, uptight proprietor Madame Mallory (Helen Mirren) doesn't exactly welcome the competition. When Madame Mallory ignites a bitter feud that quickly escalates, the only hope for a peaceful resolution lies in Hassan's talent for French haute cuisine, and his growing affection for Mme.
