  1. TeenSpace Art Contest

    Teens, ages 12-18, get out your pencils and paint brushes. It's time for the next TeenSpace Art Contest. Entries are due by February 6. Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. See the Entry Form for submission guidelines.

Parks and Recreation Registration

  1. Mostly Muscles

    January 6, 7:30 PM - February 26, 7:30 PM @ Recreation Center

    Aerobic and conditioning movements to target large and small muscle groups. Class will be a mixture of using steps, weights, stretch bands, exercise balls and weighted bars. It is for all levels of abilities. Dress in lightweight workout clothes. Bring a yoga mat and water to drink. Classes are held at the Recreation Center mutli-purpose classroom, second floor, 400 Immanuel Road. Instructor: Linda Spataro

  2. Tennis 6-10 years old

    January 10, 8:00 AM - February 14, 8:00 AM @ Recreation Center

    Tennis can be a lifetime activity, so start now! Students must provide a tennis racket and a new can of tennis balls. Loose-fitting clothing, and water are recommended. This session, classes will be held indoors at the Recreation Center, 400 Immanuel Road. Private lessons are also available. Instructor: Alexander W. Porter, USPTA.

    Enshin Karate is a practical system of empty-handed self-defense. Based on a strategy of circular movement, this form of karate uses an opponent's power and momentum against him or her. This enables its practitioner to convert defense into offense. Enshin stresses development of flexibility, power and speed with emphasis on stretching, conditioning and technique. Classes are held at the Recreation Center, multi-purpose classroom, second floor, 400 Immanuel Road.

    The Curriculum for the course includes the following: 1) Basic elements of a balanced lifestyle 2) Formulating a transitional nutrition plan that will work for you 3) Stress reduction and other health enhancement practices 4) Ways to attain more inner peace, mental clarity, and fulfillment

  7. Gymnastics - Ages 24 months to 5th grade

    January 14, 9:30 AM - March 4, 4:30 PM @ Pflugerville Recreation Center

    The class emphasizes fun, social skills, and physical fitness. Gymnasts learn how to tumble, use the balance beam, trampoline, and bars while they stretch and have fun! Classes are at the Recreation Center Gymnasium, 400 Immanuel Road. Instructor: Rhonda Shay
