    Learn how to make a scrumptious jam out of your favorite seasonal fruits! Who doesn’t like jam? And with peach season on it’s way out, you can now capture the summer’s flavor in a jar and enjoy all year long! Sheena teaches you how to make the most delectable jams by selecting seasonal fruits, cooking and storing them properly, and even how to add your own twist. She’ll cover the difference between fruit butters and jams and all the materials you’ll need to make exactly the type you’re looking for. Sheena is an avid pickle and jam maker. Based in Austin, Texas, Sheena's Pickles uses fresh, seasonal and local produce to make pickled yummies and delicious fruit butters. Aside from making tasty food, Sheena teaches workshops around town on the arts of pickling and making jams. Anyone 18 and up may attend. Materials will be provided while supplies last.

    Scott Mentzer Pool will be open at 10 a.m. for Tot Time each week during the summer. Toddlers age 5 and younger, along with their parents or guardians, are allowed into the pool before the normal opening time of 11 a.m. Older siblings will be admitted if they are in the company of the toddler and adult. Mentzer Pool is closed on Wednesdays for weekly maintenance activities.

    The mission of the Pflugerville Pfarmers Market is to bring fresh, locally grown and Pfarmers Market prepared foods to the Pflugerville community. Vendors sell a variety of produce including tomatoes, cucumbers, beans, squash, okra, garlic, melons, peaches and grapes; artisan baked goods; honey; flowers; eggs; free-range meats; jarred salsas, pickles and jams; fruits and plants. Craft items are also available for purchase, and live music is on site on selected dates. Cash is preferred. Credit card purchases depend on the vendor's capability. Some of the vendors are now accepting WIC vouchers.
