Fairs, Festivals and Events

  1. Music in the Park - "Pforte" Teen Battle of the Bands

    Auditions will be done via uploads of videos of the bands via YouTube. The public will vote to determine the four finalists who will perform live at the event in Pfluger Park. Prizes will be awarded. More details to be announced this summer. But get out your instruments and start practicing!

  2. Music in the Park -- "Sing-Along" version of "Frozen"

    Join in the PFUN -- and be part of this special "Music in the Park" night -- turned "Movie in the Park."     Adult Volleyball League starts September 7 If you like to swat a ball around, then the Adult Volleyball League is for you! Sign up today to play in the Co-ed League sponsored by the Pflugerville Parks and Recreation Department. Games are held on Sunday nights from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Recreation Center, 400 Immanuel Road. Game format is 6 versus 6 and players must be ages 18 or older. The cost to register a team per 8-game season is $175, with sessions offered in fall, winter and spring. The fall season begins on Sunday, September 7.     Be a volunteer at the Pflugerville Animal Shelter, the Pflugerville Animal Shelter, 1600 Waterbrook Drive, needs volunteers ages 16 and up to play with cats, walk dogs and take animals on field trips or to adoption events. To be a volunteer, you must pre-register and participate in one of the monthly Volunteer Orientations which take place on the second Saturday of each month from 1 p.m. – 5 p.m. at the shelter, 1600 Waterbrook Drive. Volunteers do everything from walking dogs to playing with cats in the cat room. The shelter is open to the public from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. Thursday through Tuesday. Volunteers are not limited to the facility’s public hours of operation. Volunteer hours are flexible, so volunteers can pick a time that works well for them.
