Purpose

The Library Board Annually submits a five-year comprehensive library plan; makes recommendations concerning library policy and procedure, programs, services, grants, and fundraising.

Membership

Composed of seven regular members serving two-year terms, and one alternate member serving a one-year term. The alternate member may vote if a regular member is absent. Liaisons to the Board include high school students in the the Pflugerville Independent School District.

Positions and Requirements

Number of Positions: 7 Regular Members, 1 Alternate Member

Term Length: 2 years for Regular Members, 1 year for Alternate Member

Residency Requirements: At least 12 months preceding appointment

Meeting Date: Second Wednesday of each month, 6:00 p.m.

If you are interested in serving on a board or commission, you may submit the required application at any time. Regular interviews are conducted in mid-November of each year for terms beginning the first of the following year.
