The Public Information Officer (PIO) for the City of Pflugerville plans, coordinates, and manages the operations and activities of the City’s Public Information Office to ensure that the city's key messages reach the public.

The PIO serves as the primary media liaison. The PIO plans and manages community relations, media relations, marketing and telecommunications; provides leadership, direction and guidance in PIO strategies; and policy development and priorities.
