The City of Pflugerville operates a recycling center. To recycle items at the center, you must be a resident of the City of Pflugerville or a utility customer. Please bring a valid photo ID and a recent utility statement from the City of Pflugerville for verification.

  • Christmas Trees (recycle at Wells Point Park off Heatherwilde) 
  • Chemicals of any kind

  • Furniture (leave at curb for trash pickup)
  • Gasoline
  • Glass
  • Grass clippings (leave at curb for trash pickup)
  • Household trash
  • Industrial/Commercial waste
  • Lumber/ building materials/fencing

  • Products labeled "caution," "warning" or "poison"

Alternative Recycling Suggestions
  • Plastic bags - Shopping bags are not recycled curbside or at the recycling center. Please return these to your local grocery store. HEB and Wal-Mart collect plastic bags for recycling.
  • Light Bulbs - Place incandescent light bulbs wrapped in newspaper in a sealed plastic bag before placing in trash cart.
  • Glass - recycled curbside in your recycle cart. Glass is not taken at the Recycle Center.
  • Paper Shredding -  Central Texas Secure Shredding 512-670-2900.
  • Automobiles - numerous area non-profits accept automobile donations.
Household Hazardous Waste (paints, chemicals, gasoline)

  • Closed Saturday the weekend of New Year’s, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas.

  • Residents of Travis County may bring up to 30 gallons of home-generated hazardous waste to the Household Hazardous Waste Facility free of charge.  Over 30 gallons may generate a disposal charge. Do not bring items in containers with more than 5 gallons of capacity.

Electronics (TV's, stereos, computers, monitors) - Global Environmental Services 512-582-8200. Recycle with Best Buy Pflugerville 512-990-4699. The cost is $10 and you receive a $10 gift card to Best Buy. TV's can also be taken to any Goodwill Store location.
