The Traveling Wall
The city of Pflugerville is happy to be the host site of The Traveling Wall from the American Veterans Traveling Tribute organization during the week of the annual Veterans Day holiday. It is an 80% scale version, at 360 feet wide, of the Vietnam Memorial in Washington, D.C. and includes every name that is on the permanent wall.

Opens:  12 p.m. - Thursday, Nov. 10
Closes:   3 p.m. - Sunday, Nov. 13

  • The exhibit is open around the clock for the public to visit at the lighted site in Pfennig Park, 1301 W. Pfennig Lane.
  • Computers are onsite from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. to look up the names of those engraved on the wall.
  • Special paper will be provided to visitors to do rubbings of names.

The mission of the project is to travel the nation to honor, respect and remember men and women who served, and to pay specific tribute to those who gave all in that service.

The Traveling Wall was completed in early 1998, the first year it traveled. AVTT's Traveling Wall is the largest wall replica traveling the USA, not to be confused with other replica walls. Remembering, educating and respect are the main focuses of AVTT -- honoring our nation's heroes one community at a time.

AVTT is a veteran-owned project, not government sponsored or affiliated, but funded through sponsorship fees, donations and sales of merchandise at viewing events. AVTT is contracted by The Texas Freedom Tribute. Donations to the organization are qualified charitable tax deductions.
