Pflugerville is experiencing change. Law enforcement success in making Pflugerville a safe city are the result of many individuals, working together. In Pflugerville, we have a strong team dedicated to providing the citizens a safe and pleasant place to live.

In 2013, the City of Pflugerville’s population was close to 51,894. As the community grows, the Police Department is committed to meeting Pflugerville’s needs by improving and expanding the services that we offer.  This is and will continue be achieved through the implementation of proactive policing methods and a series of crime prevention initiatives.

The department is recognized as one of the area’s leading law enforcement organizations and has set a new bench mark with the 2012 Citizen Survey. The results of this survey confirm what I and many others have believed for many years concerning the quality of this department. The results of this survey, as it relates to our department, are OUTSTANDING. Each and every employee can be extremely proud of our accomplishments.

We will continue to work diligently to maintain our position. We will also strive to make Pflugerville one of the safest and livable cities in Texas and the nation. The department’s main goal has always been to make Pflugerville one of the safest communities in Texas. This goal can only be accomplished when the police department and the community work together.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to call upon us.

The Pflugerville Police Department and Pflugerville Independent School District work together to keep all students on PISD campuses safe, while addressing the unique requirements of campus safety and security. Beginning in the 2008 - 2009 school year, the PISD formed their own Police Department under the direction of Chief William Edwards .
