vslogo_thumb.gifIt is the policy of the Pflugerville Police Department to observe the rights of crime victims and to ensure they will be treated with fairness, compassion and dignity.

Victim's needs are met through a twenty-four hour/seven day-a-week victim services program benefiting any personal situation.

This program utilizes community volunteers to provide services to victims and their families, witnesses to the crime, law enforcement personnel, and the community at large. The target population includes all citizens of Pflugerville and all students of the Pflugerville School District.

Services Include
  • On-scene crisis intervention
  • Emergency referrals
  • First responders and community debriefing
  • Accompaniment to court
  • Letter/phone call follow-up
  • Accompaniment to trauma services
  • Assist with Crime Victims Compensation Application
  • Volunteer recruitment and training
  • Community awareness programs
  • Emergency protective orders
  • Body notification
  • Death notification
  • Continued advocacy
  • Information and referral

Volunteers needed
New volunteers are welcome. Call for information on the next training class that begins Monday, September 26th, 2016.

Training classes are held:
Monday and Wednesday evenings
7 p.m. to 10 p.m. for 8 weeks.

Topics will include how to work with victims of family violence, sexual assault, child victims, elderly victims, survivors of suicide and homicide, and victims of other violent crimes. 


Any interested citizen who resides in Pflugerville or the surrounding area is encouraged to apply.  Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
