Central Records
central_records_thumb.pngThe Central Records Division provides support to all areas of the Police Department. They are not only responsible for maintaining records on individuals, but also for researching files for requested information. 

The Central Records Division provides a wide variety of services to the public ranging from Accident/Collision Reports, Open Records requests, Alarm Permits, Peddler/Solicitor permits, and fingerprinting. Please keep in mind that not all records are releasable to the public.  

In 2013, Central Records Personnel processed approximately 30,000 records including Accident reports for the Police Department and the ISD PD, Alarm Permits, Citations, permits to Peddlers / Solicitors, Proofing reports for Patrol and ISD, Open Records requests, Background Checks, fingerprinting, and Expunctions.

Accident/Collision Reports

Accident/collision reports are available online or at the Justice Center. The fee for accident/collision reports is $6 per report if obtained in the office.

The reports are available online in 2 -3 business days after the report is submitted by officers. Reports obtained online are $6.00 per regular report or $8.00 per certified report.

For all accidents occurring after September 24th, 2015, reports may be obtained at Crash Records Information System. All records preceding September 24, 2015 may be obtained at

Open Records Requests

Requests must be submitted in writing to the Central Records Division. Individuals will be asked to be very detailed in the type of information requested. Any type of Open Records Request, other than a collision report, must be submitted for approval.

According to the Open Records Act, Central Records has 10 business days, starting the day after the request is submitted, excluding weekends and holidays, to respond to the requesting individual.

Fees will be assessed according to policy and state regulations for copies, labor, and other associated costs in regards to requests. Contact Central Records for more information on the fees.

Alarm Permits

Pflugerville City Ordinance (Pflugerville Code of Ordinances - Chapter 97) requires all residents and businesses who have an alarm, whether monitored or not, to obtain an alarm permit from the city. 
  • Alarm permits are only issued to residents who live within the jurisdiction of the Pflugerville Police Department. 
  • All permits expire on December 31 of each year. Individuals are responsible for renewing their permit each year.
  • New application is required each year to keep information current.

Solicitor/Peddler Permits

Pflugerville City Ordinance (Pflugerville Code of Ordinances - Chapter 111) requires Solicitation Permits for door-to-door sales if personal contact with the residents is to be made. Applications are accepted from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday for a nonrefundable fee of $35. Permits are valid for one year of issuance date.

  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • A valid license or ID.
  • Allow 7 - 10 business days for the application to be reviewed.


The Central Records Division offers fingerprinting services Tuesday - Friday, 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm by appointment only. Associated fees may be charged for this service, payable by cash or check only.


  • Identification in the form of a Driver's License is required.
  • Persons being fingerprinted should provide their own cards. The cards are usually provided by the agency requesting fingerprints. If no cards are provided, a fee of $8 will be charged per card, no matter if you live or work in the city limits of Pflugerville.
  • Fingerprinting services are also available through the Texas Department of Public Safety.

Fingerprinting for immigration purposes is only done at the San Antonio ICE office.
