Update 8:41 P.M. Authorities have announced an all-clear for Pflugerville downtown residents to safely return to their homes. We understand that it was an inconvenience to evacuate, but it allowed authorities to fully investigate the scene and ensure the safety of the community.

The investigation continues at 403 North 2nd Street, so residents need to stay clear of the property.

Normal city operations will resume March  22, 8:00 A.M.

March 21, 2018 4:00 P.M. Press Conference

Update 1 P.M: Railroad Avenue from Pecan to Applewood is also closing.

Pflugerville City Hall is closed. Residents have been evacuated from downtown Pflugerville west of Railroad and North of Pecan. Please stay clear of the area as agencies continue to work.

Video Transcript: As you all know there is a heightened media presence and police presence in Pflugerville today. The investigation continues and this is a fluid situation so information is limited at this time.

The City of Pflugerville offers our resources to assist in any way that we can. Our police and our city staff are dedicated to assisting with the ongoing investigations as requested.

We encourage everyone, if they see something, say something. What may seem suspicious to you could be an important detail to help the ongoing investigations.

As Mayor of Pflugerville, I am proud of the partnerships and collaboration we have with neighboring agencies and am proud of the leadership I have seen displayed by our City Management and Police Department.
