Police launch online reporting system
Residents are now able to file police reports online for specific types of crimes occurring in Pflugerville Police Department’s jurisdiction.
The types of police reports that can be filed online include:
• Custody order violation
• Harassing phone call
• Harassment online
• Identity theft/fraud
• Lost property
• Theft of identification
• Vehicle burglary
The system, powered by Lexis Nexis, is available at www.pflugervilletx.gov/police and allows citizens to report certain minor crimes in non-emergency situations.
“This is one of many recent efforts we’ve made at the Pflugerville Police Department to make the Police Department more accessible for those we serve,” said Chief Jessica Robledo. “This service will help us keep more officers available to respond to calls instead of at the station filing reports and allow residents to submit reports quickly, online.”
Individuals filing a report through the website will receive a report case number and be able to print a draft of the report after submittal.
The Department has several ways to report a crime:
• Through the new online reporting system.
• Through a call to 911 in an emergency or call to 512-990-6700 for a non-emergency call.
Reports can still be filed with the Pflugerville Police Department by calling the department’s non-emergency phone line at 512-990-6700 or 911 in case of an emergency.
