Get Your Blue Ribbons in Honor of National Police Week 2018

Police Week 2018

To recognize National Police Week 2018 and to honor the service and sacrifice of those law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty while protecting our communities, the Pflugerville Police Department will have blue ribbons for residents to hang in support of law enforcement.

National Police Week 2018 begins Sunday, May 13 through Saturday, May 19. Residents are encouraged to hang blue ribbons on trees in their front yard in support of law enforcement. There are three opportunities to get your blue ribbon before Police Week begins and show your support:

·         Blue ribbons will be available for pick-up in the lobby of the Justice Center located at 1611 Pfennig Lane beginning Monday, May 7 during regular business hours, while supplies last.

·         Ribbons will also be handed out at the Council Meeting on Tuesday, May 8 at 7 p.m.

·         Join us at Coffee with a Cop on Friday, May 11 from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. at Big Al’s Diner located at 800 W. Pecan and get your blue ribbon there.

This year, Officer Alex Grana and Detective Israel Limas will represent the Pflugerville Police Department and go to our nation’s Capitol and stand in solidarity with other departments from around the country in honor of this year’s National Police Week.
