A child sexual assault arrest warrant has been issued for Cameron Michael Kretsinger, 27, following an investigation of an inappropriate relationship with a child. These incidences allegedly occurred when Kretsinger was 17 years of age, and the child was approximately 11 years of age. Kretsinger is currently in custody.
While the inappropriate relationship appears to have taken place offsite, the City has been notified that the two met through the Summer Pfun Camp Program. Kretsinger was employed as a summer camp counselor with the City during the summer months between May of 2009 to August of 2013.
Following an investigation by the Pflugerville Police Department into the relationship, the City wants to ensure everyone’s safety and wants parents of children who participated in the camp program during this time to be aware of the situation. Parents should contact the Pflugerville Police Department if they believe their children may have been victimized by calling the dedicated hotline, 512-990-6950. The Police Department is providing victim services resources for those affected. Pflugerville camp counselors from 2009 – 2013 and their parents who may have information or concerns are also encouraged to call.
Anyone with concerns, questions or in need of further information about the Parks and Recreation programs please contact James Hemenes, Parks Director at 512-990-6350.

Our full statement is below and check the city's website for updates as we have them.
A child sexual assault arrest warrant was issued for Cameron Kretsinger, 27, following an investigation of an inappropriate relationship occurring between Kretsinger (age 17-18 at the time this began) and a minor female victim from 2009-2011, a first-degree felony. Kretsinger was, at that time, a camp counselor at Pflugerville Summer Pfun camp, operated by the City of Pflugerville’s Parks and Recreation Department, which is cooperating with the Pflugerville Police Department’s investigation currently underway. Kretsinger is expected to turn himself into authorities on July 11, 2018.
As soon as we learned of the inappropriate relationship as reported to the Police Department, City and camp staff have worked diligently and in earnest to gather the facts and experts to bring the community and anyone affected information the moment we had the clarity and authority to do so.
We work diligently to ensure the protection of our campers, their families and counselors, and we take matters of this nature very seriously. We are reviewing our records and processes in place then and now.
