Pflugerville Police Hosts its First Annual Public Safety Day
Come to Public Safety Day at the Pfield, 1440 W Pecan on Saturday, September 29 when the City of Pflugerville Police Department hosts the first annual Public Safety Day from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
The event includes the bicycle rodeo event which allows children to enjoy learning about bicycle safety while racing against the clock through a series of challenging bicycle obstacles. Bring a bike and a helmet or a loaner one may be provided, first come, first served. The event offers safety instructions, riding instructions and displays by Central Texas Law Enforcement Agencies featuring the Pflugerville Police Department K-9 unit, crime scene, volunteers, motorcycles, and recruiting.
Public Safety Day is the kick-off to National Night Out as residents and neighborhood coordinators of National Night Out events can pick up bags of information from the Police Department to hand out during NNO on October 2. Any neighborhood that wants to register for National Night Out, can signup at www.pflugervilletx.gov/nno or at the Public Safety Day.
There will be a balloonist and clown, face painting, safe target shooting for children (NERF) and food trucks. Come and join the fun.
The event is held at the Pfield in conjunction with the Pflugerville Pfamily Pfestival and Chamber Expo which is from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. at 105 Swenson Farms.
