Halloween activities in Pflugerville begin the weekend of October 13.
October 13 - The Walking Dead Selfie Station – Celebrate the 15th anniversary of The Walking Dead at the Pflugerville Library. Take a picture with Michonne and Daryl cardboard cutouts and checkout a Walking Dead graphic novel (while available). The first 25 people to take a selfie, share it on social media, and show it to the staff at the checkout desk will receive free Walking Dead swag, courtesy of Image Comics and Skybound. This is an all-day event.
October 13 - Pfloating Pumpkin Patch - Come to Gilleland Creek Pool from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. for the coolest pumpkin patch in Pflugerville. Pick your pumpkin, decorate it, and stay for the fun games and treats. Admission is $3 per person (no pumpkin), $5 per child (includes one small pumpkin) and $10 per person (includes one medium pumpkin).
October 20 - Harry Potter Escape Room – Work in teams to solve a series of puzzles and clues to escape from Hogwarts. Watch Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows Parts 1 & 2 (Rated PG-13, ©Warner Bros.) at the Pflugerville Library while you wait for your turn. Teams must include 2-6 members. Teams with less than 6 members will be combined. Each team will have 15 minutes to escape before receiving the Dementor's Kiss. Space is limited. There is no advance registration for this event. Sign up for a time from 10 -10:30 a.m. The room will run from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. First come, first served. Teens (12 & up) and adults only. Cosplay is encouraged.
October 23 - Pfab Lab Teen Night Pumpkin Painting – Teens ages 12-18 can paint a book-themed pumpkin. Space and materials are limited. First come, first served. Meets in the Pfab Lab at the Pflugerville Library from 6 – 7 p.m.
October 25 - Escape from Frankenstein’s Lab at the Heritage House Museum – Celebrate the 200th anniversary of the publication of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein with an escape room at the Heritage House Museum (901 Old Austin Hutto Rd) from 5 - 8 p.m. Register online, or call the library at 512-990-6375. Do not sign up an entire group, but feel free to direct group members to the site. This event is for those 18 and up only.
October 27 - Dia De Los Muertos – From 2 - 4 p.m. at the Pflugerville Library, enjoy story time, crafts (while supplies last), sugar skull decorating (one sugar skull per family), and a free movie screening in Spanish. This event is recommended for adult and those with children at least 5 years of age. All children must be accompanied by an adult guardian.
October 27 - Trunk or Treat – The 4th annual Trunk or Treat is from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. at the Animal Welfare Services, 1600 Waterbrook Dr. Grab the kiddos and get out the costumes a little early to join the fun. There will be a photo booth, scavenger hunt, costume contest, adoptable furry friends and of course candy.
October 30 - Halloween at the Pfarmers Market – Pick up treats when you shop at the market on Halloween eve. The market is located at Heritage Park, 901 Old Austin Hutto Road, from 3 - 7 p.m.
October 30 - Tween and Teen Movie Night: Hocus Pocus – Tweens and teen ages 8-18 can decorate a tote bag and enjoy snacks while watching the classic 1993 Halloween film Hocus Pocus (Walt Disney Pictures, Rated PG) at the Pflugerville Library. The movie is from 6 – 8 p.m.
October 30 - Teen Mystery Night at the Heritage House Museum – Teens ages 12 – 18 are invited to solve the mystery of the Murder at the Skull Manor Costume Ball. Registration is required. Pick up your character packet at the library checkout desk. This event will begin on time (7 – 9 p.m.). Plan to arrive 10 minutes early. Late arrivals may result in running out of time to complete the mystery. Teens must be picked up by 9 pm.
October 31 - Story Time with the Friendly Witch – Children up to age five are invited to enjoy a special storytime featuring a friendly witch at the Pflugerville Library from 10 – 11 a.m. Read books, sing songs, and make a craft. Children are welcome to wear costume and take a picture with the witch after story time. Don't forget to bring a camera. Children up to age 5 and siblings with an adult are welcome. First come, first served.
October 31 - Halloween Pfood Drive Event - Pflugerville Police Department is a proud sponsor of the Pflugerville Chamber of Commerce Halloween Pfood Drive Event on Main Street. On October 31, come trick-or-treat on the 200 block of Main Street from 6 -7 p.m. Anyone who is dressed up like a POLICE OFFICER for Halloween is encouraged to come to the Pflugerville Police Department booth to receive your official BADGE sticker from the city of Pflugerville Police Department and be in a group photo with our officers at 6:30 p.m. Come trick-or-treat at the Pfood Drive event and help a good cause.
Trick-or-treat - Children will be trick-or-treating in neighborhoods on October 31.
