Holiday Pfestivities in Pflugerville

 Pflugerville celebrates the season with pfestive events and activities. Check out what's happening this holiday season. 

Dec. 1: Pet pictures with Santa - Bring your pet the PAWS shelter (1600 Waterbrook Dr.) for a picture with Santa from 11 a.m. 2 p.m. You can bring your own camera to take a photo, or PAWS will take one for you. Pictures will be printed out at the time of the event.

Dec. 1: Pfestival of Lights & Christmas Parade - Enjoy festive activities in Downtown Pflugerville from 4 -7 p.m., including free cookies and hot chocolate, musical performances and a yule log fire. Parade begins at 5 p.m. and ends with the tree lighting and photos with Santa (bring your own camera).

Dec. 2: Christmas Open House - The Heritage House Partners host their annual Christmas Open House. Enjoy music, refreshments, and pictures with Santa! The museum will be decorated for the holidays. This event takes place at the Heritage House Museum on 901 Old Austin Hutto Rd from 1 - 4 p.m.

Dec. 4: Dicken’s Day Celebration - Celebrate author Charles Dickens with cookies, hot cocoa, and a screening of The Man Who Invented Christmas, starring Dan Stevens. Decorate an ornament with gold leaf while you watch the movie (one per family while supplies last). Children, teens, and adults are welcome. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Held at the Pflugerville Public Library.

Dec. 6: Kids Crafternoon: Holiday Wreaths – Children ages 5 to 8 can make paper plate wreath for Pflugerville Care Center residents. Materials available while supplies last. Held at the Pflugerville library from 3:30 – 4 p.m.

Dec. 6: Nailed It! Gingerbread Cake Challenge for Adults - Work in groups to complete a gingerbread cake. Library staff and guest judge Kass Jimenez will decide who nailed it! Ages 18 and up are welcome. This event is limited to 48 participants, first come first served. Attendees will be split into teams of 4 for the competition. Held at the Pflugerville library from 6 – 7: 30 p.m.

Dec. 8: An Afternoon with Santa - Bring your camera and take a picture with Santa at the Pflugerville Library from 2 - 4 p.m. Holiday crafts will be available while supplies last. All ages are welcome. This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Library.

Dec. 11: Storytime with Jingles the Elf – Have you heard an elf tell a story? Now is your chance! Jingles the Elf will make a stop at the library to tell you some of her North Pole stories. Children up to age 5 with an adult are welcome. This program is followed by a craft. Materials available while supplies last. 
Pick the time that works for you! This storytime is at 10 and 11 a.m.

Dec. 11: Home School Kids: Holiday Card Making Party – Children ages 5 to 8 can work on holiday cards using the library’s supplies. Materials available while supplies last. Held at the Pflugerville library from 2 – 3 p.m.

Dec. 11: Pfestive Pfarmes Market & Heritage House – Stop by the market for extra shopping for your holiday meals and gifts. The market is located inside The Green Red Barn in Heritage Park, 901 Old Austin Hutto Road and is open from 3 - 7 p.m.

Dec. 12: Tween Holiday Hangout - Tweens can make holidays crafts while enjoying snacks and watching a festive movie. Held at the Pflugerville Library from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m.    

Dec. 13: Adult Craft Night: Alcohol Ink Crafts - Make a framed art piece or decorated glass ornament using alcohol inks. Materials will be provided while supplies last. This program is for those 18 and up only. Children will not be allowed to attend this event. Held at the Pflugerville Library from 6 - 7:30 p.m.

Dec. 18: Pfestive Pfarmers Market & Heritage House - Stop by the market for extra shopping for your holiday meals and gifts. The market is located inside The Green Red Barn in Heritage Park, 901 Old Austin Hutto Road and is open from 3 - 7 p.m.
