Library Youth Programs on Break Beginning July 29

With the Summer Reading Program winding down, youth programs will be on a break starting July 29.  This means storytimes and other weekly youth programs will not happen in August.  But have no fear, normal youth programming will resume after Labor Day.  Library staff uses this time to plan upcoming events, order books, and catch up on many other library duties.  As we all catch our breath from a busy summer, remember adult programs will continue on their normal schedule.

Pastels art class at the Recreation Center August 5-9

Culinary Mischief - Pastels is one of the half-day camps at the Pflugerville Recreation Center. This is a fun-for-all, skill-enhancing workshop from August 5-9. Registration is available through August 1.

Our domestic critters are up to no good in this five-day pastel workshop! We’ll use pastels to create amazing, “can’t-believe-I-drew-this” masterpieces. A mouse making soup, a dog eyeing the spaghetti and silly birds on cakes are some of the mischievously-delicious drawings students will create every day. Pastels are an amazing medium, that with good direction, can make an artist out of any rookie. No experience necessary. Registration available here
