Black Locust construction to begin

Post Date:10/25/2019 2:35 PM
On Monday, November 4, Smith Contracting Co., Inc. will begin the reconstruction of Black Locust Drive between Grand Avenue Parkway and Heatherwilde Boulevard. The project consists of pavement rehabilitation and replacement of curb and gutter and sidewalk crossings to address ADA accessibility.

One half of the road will remain open with traffic able to travel in one lane in each direction for the duration of the project. A temporary no parking ordinance has been established for parking on streets under construction until the project is complete. The city will post “No parking/tow away” signs along streets prior to work along the road. Towing enforcement, at owner’s expense, will begin once signs are installed.

City staff knows this project will be an inconvenience to service and safety providers that use the roadways in this area. Our objective is to provide information about the project that will be useful when planning daily activities. Please continue to check the City’s website at www.pflugervilletx.gov/projects for project information or email any questions or concerns to the City’s Capital Improvement Program staff at projects@pflugervilletx.gov or by phone at (512) 990-6409. The City plans to provide adequate notice to minimize interruption. The construction is anticipated to last up to 6 months, weather permitting.
