Pflugerville's TCEQ Public Notice
Letter mailed to all water customers
The attached letter is going out to Pflugerville homeowners the week of November 4, 2019. The City failed to meet Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) Cryptosporidium removal requirements during the surface water treatment process due to damaged water filtration membranes. The damaged membranes decreased the effectiveness of the filtration at the surface water treatment plant. The City took immediate corrective action to ensure the water meets TCEQ standards. The filtration membranes have been repaired and monitoring processes are confirmed to be in place to prevent this from happening in the future. If you have questions, please view the frequently asked questions worksheet online at www.pflugervilletx.gov/water. Call City Communications at 512-990-6115.
