Tips to reduce spread of COVID-19

Flyer to prevent disease
  • Wear a mask. Be sure it completely covers your nose and mouth and fits securely.
  • Wash hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are unavailable, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer
  • Cover your cough by coughing or sneezing into your elbow
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands.
  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
  • Stay home if you develop flu-like symptoms or sickness
  • Clean and disinfect frequently-touched surfaces.
  • Practice social distancing
Why physical distancing is important

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), social distancing is the practice of keeping a distance from other people to help reduce the spread of the virus in community settings. Because COVID-19 is most commonly spread through the air by coughing or sneezing, close personal contact by touch, or touching an object or surface with the virus on it, minimizing contact with other individuals is an important step in reducing the risk of disease transmission.
