City Council postpones May bond election
On April 2, the City Council approved a resolution to postpone the Bond Election of the City of Pflugerville from May 2, 2020 to November 3, 2020.
In February, the City Council adopted a Resolution to hold a bond election in May for transportation projects citywide. Information on the bond projects for voter consideration is available at pflugervilletx.gov/bonds.
In the course of his response to COVID-19, Governor Abbott issued a proclamation on March 18 allowing for elections scheduled for May 2 to be postponed to November 3. This action did not postpone elections statewide, but rather gives the option to local governments.
The Pflugerville City Council’s move to postpone the May Bond Election comes as the City continues to encourage social distancing in the community to prevent the spread of COVID-19. More information about the City’s response to COVID-19 can be found at pflugervilletx.gov/virus.
