Mayor Gonzales Declares May Older Americans Month in Pflugerville
Mayor Gonzales declared the month of May as Older Americans Month in the City of Pflugerville at the May 12 City Council meeting. Older Americans Month provides residents with an opportunity to support Pflugerville’s older adults and recognize and learn more about their contributions to the community.
This year’s theme is “Make Your Mark,” which highlights the lasting contributions Pflugerville’s older adults have provided to the community.
Pflugerville Parks and Recreation’s Pf Seniors program is one way the City supports our older residents. While senior programming is currently on hiatus for the health and safety of seniors during the COVID-19 pandemic, a Pf Seniors member typically has the benefit of going on a variety of trips across the state of Texas and participating in recreational classes, educational seminars and social activities.
In honor of Older Americans Month, Mayor Gonzales has urged residents to support and celebrate the contributions of Pflugerville’s older adults and their mark on the City. To learn more about Pf Seniors and membership benefits, visit pfseniors.com.
