June is National Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Month
For National Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Month, consider visiting the weekly Pfarmers Market. The Pfarmers Market takes place from 3-7 p.m. each Tuesday at Heritage Park (901 Old Austin Hutto Road). The market offers a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables, as well as baked goods, honey, eggs, free-range meats, salsas, pickles and jams.
Until further notice, the Pfarmers Market is following a set of rules to make it safe for vendors and attendees:
- Only fresh produce, meat and prepared foods will be available.
- Social distancing will be enforced. Everyone must wear face coverings and there will be no samples available.
- The market will be set up on the gravel area in front of Heritage House, and all traffic will be one way. Customers must enter the parking lot on the north side of the park (by Scott Mentzer Pool).

Compost temporarily out of stock at the Recycle CenterThe City Recycle Center is out of compost until further notice. The City continues to produce compost, and when ready, it will be provided first come, first served. For more information about the Recycle Center, visit www.pflugervilletx.gov/recyclecenter.
Pflugerville Public Library to Offer Curbside Care Kits
Pflugerville Public Library will begin offering free Curbside Care Kits on Tuesday, June 16. These kits contain personal hygiene/grooming items, like those found in the library's Care Cabinet. To receive a kit, please come to the front of the library Monday - Friday from 10 a.m. - 5:45 p.m. and follow the instructions on the signs.
Continue to wear a mask and practice best hygiene
Recently, COVID-19 cases have increased in Travis County and the 78660 zip code. Please continue to be vigilant with hand-washing, sanitation of door knobs and commonly-touched items and wear a mask when in public. Keep a social distance of six feet from other people when out in public and wash hands upon returning. Don't forget to clean commonly-touched items including cell phones and keys. Summer Reading Program - The 2020 summer reading program is taking place online. Kids, teens and adults will all have their own summer reading challenges to complete for each of the eight weeks of summer reading. In addition to the challenges, the Pflugerville Library will have online events and crafting with curbside take-home kits. The summer reading program takes place June 6-August 1. Pflugerville Pfund - The Pflugerville Pfund is set up to help local businesses with financial assistance grants due to COVID-19. Find more information about this fund by visiting pfchamber.com/pflugerville-pfund.
Utility disconnects and late fees - Utility billing will not issue any late fees or disconnects through July 15. The date has been extended to July due to COVID-19. Utility Billing remains closed to the public. Phones are answered from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. at 512-990-6100. Due to high call volumes, the City encourages using email, firstname.lastname@example.org, and the web chat feature at utilitybilling.pflugervilletx.gov.
Respond to the 2020 Census - The Census can be filled out online, by phone or by mail. Follow the instructions mailed by the Census Bureau to complete the form, and visit pflugervilletx.gov/census for more information.
