The Personnel Appeal Board was established on November 6, 2001 by amendment of the City of Pflugerville’s Home Rule Charter.
Purpose
The Personnel Appeal Board conducts hearings and renders decisions regarding employee appeals to suspensions, demotions, and terminations for all commissioned peace officers that are regular, full-time employees or regular, part-time employees of the City.
Membership
The Personnel Appeal Board includes not less than five members which are appointed by the Mayor with the advice and consent of the City Council to serve for up to three years. Any given Board is composed of three of the appointed members. Members must be at least 21, have no criminal record, no prior employment with the city, and be a resident of the city for at least three years.
