The Wilbarger Creek Park Project (formerly called Highland Park/Highland Park North)was previously master planned as part of the Trails Master Plan & Undeveloped Parks Study that was completed by RVi in July of 2014. The parkland runs along the Wilbarger Creek just north of Great Basin Road.
Construction on the park will begin at the southwest corner of Kingston Lacy Boulevard and Craters of the Moon Boulevard. Amenities of the park will include playground areas, outdoor classroom space, a youth velo-way, a practice field, parking, trails and restrooms.

Construction Contractor: QA Construction Services Inc.
This undeveloped park was identified as a high priority in the most recent master plan and was approved by voters for development in the 2014 Bond election .
Project Schedule and Status
City Council awarded the construction contract for Wilbarger Creek park to QA Construction Services Inc at the March 12, 2019 City Council Meeting. Construction is scheduled to begin summer of 2019 and is expected to be completed in early 2020.
