In June 2016, the Council approved certificates of obligation bonds of $9.3 million for these projects:

Animal Shelter Phase 1 - $1.6 million 

The Animal Shelter Phase 1 added $1.6 million to the already $400,000 allocated to improvements at the animal shelter. A total of $2 million will be spent to upgrade the current facility including a new building and removal of buildings located near the floodplain. 

Parks projects - $1.76 million 

           o    Gilleland Pool house construction and restroom renovation 
           o    Bohls house renovations
           o    Pfluger Park restroom construction 

Police CAD/RMS software system - $1.1 million

Police are negotiating the contract for the software system which will provide additional record keeping and time-saving improvements to the department. 

Street projects - $1.5 million 

           o    SH 45 Frontage Road design - in partnership with the City of Round Rock, Pflugerville is working on a study to estimate cost and design of the frontage roads west of Heatherwilde Boulevard on the north and south sides of SH 130.

           o    Traffic Signals at Heatherwilde and Grand Avenue Parkway; Heatherwilde and Cheyenne Valley Drive, Black Locust and Heatherwilde and Heatherwilde and Pfennig Lane.  Status: In June, the City Council asked for a reevaluation of the traffic signal locations. They will go back to City Council once locations are further vetted. 

Public Works Crew building - $1.5 million 

Status: Design is underway for the public works crew building.

Land acquisition- $1.5 million
