Chief Jessica Robledo
Jessica Robledo joined the Pflugerville Police Department as Interim Chief on January 6, 2017. She was sworn in as Police Chief for the City of Pflugerville on February 14, 2017.
Robledo served 30 years at the Austin Police Department, where she gained 13 years of executive and supervisory experience. Robledo served as Assistant Chief for the City of Austin, which had 2,547 sworn enforcement support personnel and a $369 million budget. During her tenure in law enforcement, she has served in numerous roles including Lieutenant, Sergeant, Detective, and Officer. She has served in Risk Management, Robbery, Gang Unit, Homicide, Internal Affairs and the Organized Crime Division.
Robledo has a Bachelor’s of Science in Physical Education from Angelo State University. Additional licenses and training include the FBI National Academy, Senior Management Institute for Police (SMIP), Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Education (TCOLE) and Police Executive Leadership Institute (PELI).
Robledo recognizes the importance of community policing and has connected with the community through her work with numerous organizations. She has a servant’s heart and believes in helping the community in which she serves. Her numerous awards and accolades include the Champion for Children Award, Greater SW Optimist Club Respect for Law Award, Austin Junior League’s Make a Difference Award, and Rotary Club of Austin’s Service Above Self Award. In August 2015, Robledo partnered with Helping Hands for Children foster home and developed Blue Guardian, the first foster home mentorship program by law enforcement. In addition, her involvement in the “Educa” Austin campaign to reach Spanish-speaking citizens and educate them about the community has helped bridge the gap between police and the Spanish-speaking community.
