Apply your GI bill for apprenticeship and on the job training with Pflugerville Police Department

The city of Pflugerville is hiring police officers. Since Pflugerville Police Department is a participant in the GI bill apprenticeship program, veterans or those in guard or reserve can take advantage of GI benefits. Upon completion of CAPCOG training, veterans are encouraged to apply to work at the city of Pflugerville. If hired, you’ll receive your military GI benefits. Ride Along with an Officer

Request for Approval to Ride Out in a Police Unit: Fill out the Rider Form and return it either to the officer you intend to ride with, or turn it in at the Dispatch window.  You will then simply need to await approval and contact dispatch with a date and time you wish to ride along. 

Out of State Applicants

All out of state applicants are required to complete the TCOLE "Out of State Application" process in conjunction with our own hiring process. This includes passing the state licensing examination, at least two weeks prior to the assigned start date. You can find out more information on the TCOLE Out of State Process page.
